Privacy policy

This website is run by NoteCode, a web studio that builds websites and apps for businesses in Zambia. When this policy says we or us, it means NoteCode.

• Account details. Your name, email address and, if you give it, your WhatsApp or phone number. Your password is stored only as a secure scrambled code, never as readable text.
• Messages and requests. Anything you send us through the contact form or your account, including the service you are interested in.
• Orders and payments. The services and plans you order, their prices and any coupon used, and the payment details you send us: how you paid, the amount, the date and the transaction reference. We never ask for or store card numbers or mobile money PINs.
• Account activity. Sign-ins, failed sign-in attempts, requests you send and changes to your details, together with the time they happened. The NoteCode admin can see this activity.
• Visit statistics. We count visits to the website in a privacy-friendly way that uses no cookies and does not identify you.

• To reply to your messages and prepare quotes.
• To run your account and show your requests and their progress.
• To send notifications to your account inbox, such as updates on your requests or announcements from our team.
• To confirm your payments, keep track of monthly and yearly plans, remind you before a renewal is due, and give you coupons our team chooses for you.
• To keep the website and your account secure, for example by pausing sign-ins after repeated failed attempts.

We use only essential cookies. One keeps you signed in to your account. Another remembers that you closed an announcement so it does not keep coming back.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, so there is nothing to accept or reject.

We never sell your information. We only share it:

• With the companies that host this website and its database for us, only so they can run it.
• With WhatsApp, if you choose to message us there. WhatsApp handles those chats under its own privacy policy.
• When the law requires us to.

We keep your account details for as long as your account is open. When you delete your account, your profile and sign-in details are removed straight away.

Messages, requests and security records may be kept afterwards as part of our business records. Order and payment records may be kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. You can ask us to delete anything else.

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. You can also object to how we use it. Laws such as the Data Protection Act, 2021 of Zambia give you these rights.

• Update your name and phone number any time on your account page.
• Delete your account yourself from the same page.
• For anything else, contact us and we will reply as soon as we can.

Passwords are stored as secure scrambled codes, the website uses an encrypted connection, and only the NoteCode admin can see member details. No system is perfect, so please use a strong password that you do not use anywhere else.

This website is meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the date at the top. Big changes will also be announced on the website.
